Understood, not just managed
Every child deserves adults who ask why, not only what happened.
Our mission
See My Mind began with one child being seen differently by the people around him. We are building a way for the people who care to work from the same picture.
The beginning
“What if everyone supporting a child could work from the same picture?”
Shy founded See My Mind after seeing her own child experience many of the same challenges Luca represents — being understood differently at home and at school. She knew what helped, but that understanding did not always reach the people who needed it.
Everyone cared and everyone was trying to help. Nobody had the whole picture. See My Mind grew from that gap.
What we believe
Every child deserves adults who ask why, not only what happened.
A bad night, a worry or a change at home can change what a moment in class really means.
A child is more than an incident, a diagnosis or a support plan.
What a child loves, achieves and is proud of matters as much as what they find hard.
Children should help tell their own story, not have it told entirely for them.
Useful knowledge should not disappear when a teacher, class or school changes.
Technology and people
See My Mind can join up information, spot patterns and make evidence easier to see. The decisions about a child belong to the people who know and care for them.
We start with SEND because fragmented information can have serious consequences. The vision is every child.
Our founding principle
No child should have to reach crisis before the people around them understand what they need.
